Early years
Pastor Gary grew up in Tower City, Pennsylvania as a third generation Pentecostal. His mother and maternal grandparents held to the Pentecostal doctrine and experience; however, in spite of growing up around prayer, worship, and the preaching of God’s word, it was not until attendance in college that Pastor Gary would receive the life changing revelation of Jesus Christ, and as the old song says, “I’ll never be the same anymore.”
Desire to know God and His word
Upon His conversion, Pastor Gary wanted to know more about his Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, so he began to listen to much teaching and preaching in church and on television; however, he heard many different teachings and some conflicted with other teachings. That is when he decided that he needed to study the Bible for himself. This led him into a more glorious relationship with God by observing how wonderful and glorious that not only God’s revelation to man is, but even more so just the glory of God himself. As Pastor Gary would study the word, the revelation of God in certain passages would be so thrilling, he would get up, walk around his room and just talk to the walls about what the passage meant.
God’s calling
One night in January, during a prayer session, Pastor Gary experienced God’s presence in a special way, and believed this was a call of God to share the Biblical revelation that God had provided. This revelation occurred during his senior year at college, on a Saturday night. The following Wednesday evening, the church held a panel discussion. Unfortunately, one of the panelists couldn't attend, and Pastor Gary was asked, almost compelled, to join. This invitation gradually escalated to a regular presence on the panel. After his time on the panel, Pastor Gary was invited to teeach and preach in his local church. Later, he was also invited to preach at other local churches. Each opportunity affirmed and validated Pastor Gary's divine calling to spread God's word.
Pastoral ministry
After moving to Camp Hill, PA for professional and personal reasons, Pastor Gary was traveling one day, and having his mind on other things, he missed his turn and went down to turn around and noticed a Pentecostal church. He visited the church and began attending regularly. As the Pastor retired to pursue other ministry, he was asked to fill in until the church could find another Pastor. Eventually, he was asked (or more told) to become the Pastor of that church. He filled that role for a little over fifteen years.
SonSeeker Church
As the years were moving on, Pastor Gary prayed about a deeper walk with God in both word and spirit. He wanted to see the Lord bring revival to south central Pennsylvania. He wanted to see more souls come know the same Jesus that he knows and loves. He wanted more people to experience the Spiritual blessings he knew. In following though with that vision, Pastor Gary affiliated with World Evangelism Fellowship in Baton Rouge Louisiana. The formation of SonSeeker Church is to provide the doctrines and experiences that has drawn him to grow in grace and the knowledge of the Lord. The desire is to see a people that have the mind of Christ and serve in the ministry of reconciliation to let them know the Jesus came to seek and to save that which is lost.
